SAXON MOUNTAIN   -  Campfire Tales - January 1995

When I finally reached the Lamartine Cutoff, I also found lots of snow.  The cutoff is an uphill climb through dense forest where the sun don’t shine.  Since I haven’t installed a winch on my Blazer yet, I decided not to venture in.  Besides, I had to get home for dinner.  Well, at least some grilled cheese.

The photo on the right was taken about half way up the mountain.

Happy Trails!
