In 1992, Campfire Tales was called Trail Scout Report. In this issue, photos were on the cover only. I included other photos for this on-line recovery to add color to it.

GENEVA
“Where we going next, Outlaw?” Bear asked over the CB radio.
“We’re gonna look for a town called Geneva,” I
answered. It’s supposed to be on the
other side of Guanella Pass.
Our trip to Waldorf and Argentine Pass had been great. Lawman, Blue Moon, Bear, and I enjoyed lunch
at the summit of Argentine in the company of four mountain goats. From there, we explored the side trails and
enjoyed bird’s eye views of the valleys around.

Finding Geneva was a little more tricky, but only because
there are no signs at the intersections.
We turned off the Guanella Pass road and headed west past the Duck Creek
Picnic Ground and the Geneva Park Campground.
From there, the trail gradually climbed toward tree line. We went left at the first intersection and
that ended up nowhere. Blue Moon went
back to the right fork and soon climbed out above the trees where Geneva
remains.
